Full Biography
Claire Dellamar was born and raised in Denver Colorado. From the beginning of her life Claire remembers having a love of performing. Throughout her childhood she actively participated in any and all school plays and music performances, playing the violin and piano and singing in the school choirs. In high school her passion and enthusiasm for performing continued to grow and she became an actively involved member of the school’s theater company, performing in plays and musicals throughout the school years, among which her favorite role was Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. Claire was also a member of her school’s choirs, holding a spot in the school’s prestigious a cappella group The Angeliers.
Claire attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in drama. While there she studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute for Theater Film and Television, The Stonestreet Studio for Film and Television, and the Experimental Theater Wing of NYU Tisch. Among her classes Claire studied many acting styles including Lee Strasberg’s “Method”, experimental techniques, and film and television approaches, including techniques for three camera live and soap opera acting. Claire also studied singing, vocal techniques, movement, dance, specifically jazz, ballet, and tap; dialects, and script analysis. During her time at NYU Claire was in several productions, and student short films, her favorites of these projects was her role as Jen in Sunday on the Rocks, and Kelly in Theater Machine, a play created and performed entirely through improv.
After graduating Claire continued to live in New York City and began pursuing acting and modeling full time. During this period Claire had roles in numerous independent short and feature length films, tv commercials, student films, music videos, webisodes, off Broadway productions, dance productions with PMT dance studio, was a member of an off Broadway theater company in which she starred in original material she wrote and produced, and modeled for clothing designers such as Calvin Kline and Felina Lingerie.
Claire is also passionate about traveling and seeing the world. During her time at NYU she studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic, and Florence Italy, and recently Claire took an amazing trip through much of South East Asia, including Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. She also traveled through New Zealand, and lived in Japan for several months.
Most recently Claire has been living in Sydney, Australia where she has been modeling for local photographers and clothing designers.
During her free time Claire loves to dance, play guitar, cook, surf, snowboard and sing.
Claire is currently living in Los Angeles where she recently moved, and is continuing to pursue her acting and modeling careers full time.
